The highly anticipated new musical The Devil Wears Prada is coming to the West End later this year.
The production will be strutting its way into London’s Dominion Theatre in October.The Devil Wears Prada Musical is based on the 2006 blockbuster film (starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep) and the best-selling novel written by Lauren Weisberger published in 2003. With an original score by music legend Elton John, lyrics by Shania Taub, book by Kate Wetherhead and direction and choreography by the iconic Jerry Mitchell.
The Devil Wears Prada theatre tickets are on sale now. Olivier Award winner Matt Henry is set to join the cast as Nigel, the role created on screen by Stanley
Tucci.
Matt Henry is best known for his performance of Lola in Kinky Boots on the West End. Henry has also performed in other West End musicals including Avenue Q and Saturday Night Fever. Most recently he has starred alongside Beverley Knight in the West End production of The Drifters Girl. He also
competed in the second series of The Voice UK, where he was mentored by both will.i.am and Jessie J. He reached the final, before finishing in fourth place.
He joins Vanessa Williams, who is best known for her iconic TV roles in Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. Williams is set to play Miranda Priestley, the role made famous by Meryl Streep.
