The highly anticipated production of Disney’s Hercules is opening in the West End this summer. The new musical opens at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and has just announced its full cast for the run.
Hercules is based on the 1997 Disney animated film of the same name. It follows the Greek hero as he fights to claim his birthright and strenth against the villainous Hades.
As already revealed Luke Brady is set to play the role of Hercules. He will then be joined by Mae Ann Jordan as Meg. Jordan is making her West End debut after originating the role in Hamburg. Moreover, the cast will include Trevor Dion Nicholas as Phil, Stephen Carlile as Hades, Craig Sullivan as Bob and Lee Zarrett as Charles.
Furthermore, the Muses will be Candace Furbert as Thalia, Sharlene Hector as Clio, Brianna Ogunbawo as Melpomene, Malinda Parris as Callipe, and Robyn Rose-Li as Terpsichore. As well as Kamilla Fernades as Standby Muse.
The cast of Hercules is completed by Rhianne Alleyne, Lana Antoniou, Daisy Barnett, Felipe Bejarano, Sarah Benbelaid, Joel Benjamin, Jack Butcher, Nicole Carlisle, Francessca Daniella-Baker, and Jemal Felix. In addition the cast includes Marie Finlayson, Ryesha Higgs, Cruz-Troy Hunter, Travis Kerry, Stefan Lagoulis, Jason Leigh Winter, Jordan Livesey, Harriet Millier, Ellie Mitchell, Saffi Needham, Ingrid Olivia, Matt Overfield, Patrick Robinson, Ope Sowande and Rhys West.

The musical features music by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast), and lyrics by David Zippel (Mulan). In addition the stage show has a new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah. The show will include the much-loved songs from the film. This includes ‘Zero to Hero’, ‘Go the Distance’, and ‘I Won’ Say (I’m In Love).
The London production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (Disney’s Aladdin). It has also been co-chhoreographed by Tanisha Scott who worked on the European premiere of the show in Hamburg.
