The Play That Goes Wrong celebrated their 4001st performance last night. What’s more, they also welcomed their newest cast members and new production images too!

The Play That Goes Wrong is the longest running comedy show in the West End. It has been in the West End for over a decade. It is the first production created by company Mischief Theatre who have made a name for themselves in the West End and overseas as a comedy production powerhouse. They have since gone on to create The Goes Wrong Show with the BBC which brought the beloved team to our TV screens. Following that, they recently opened The Comedy About Spies at The Noel Coward Theatre which has recieved 5 star reviews!

The show is literally about A Play That Goes Wrong and lends itself to fast paced verbal and physical, farcical comedy. An amatuer dramatics group try to put on a classic murder mystery show. Despite their best efforts, they can’t seem to get this one right – even 4001 performances later! In true Mischief Theatre fashion, they released this video to mark the celebration and the welcoming of the new cast:

The new cast of The Play That Goes Wrong includes Izzy Edmunds-Clarke as Annie, Jack Hardwick as Chris, Robert Jackson as Robert, Jonty Peach as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott as Sandra, Mitesh Soni as Dennis, Tom Wainwright as Max and Ronnie Yorke as Trevor. Alex Blackie, Jake Burgum, Kitty Devlin, Louise Hoare and Ed Shamwana are the understudies for the newest cast. You can read more about them here.

Lastly, The Play That Goes Wrong released these images of the new cast in action!
