Hadestown is a reimagining the Greek mythological tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. It is a tragically beautiful love story with an equally beautiful score written by Anais Mitchell. It also features classic charcters from Greek Mythology including Hades and Persephone, Hermes and the ominous fates. The reimagining is in a folk-jazz style which reflects the style of the music.
