It is based on the hot film starring Will Ferrell about Buddy the Elf. Buddy crawls into Santas sack as a baby when he was in the orphanage and found himself adopted by one of father christmas’ elves. Despite his best efforts, Buddy never quite fit in at the North Pole as his size was so much bigger than the other elves. When it is revealed that his birth father is very high on the naughty list, Buddy decides to head to the big apple to make things right.

It’s Jack and Jill’s first day at Fleshcreep Academy, the strictest school in Hammersmith, and there’s trouble brewing. Not only is their mum the chaotic new dinner lady but the headteacher has pupils on a tight leash: just three strikes and it’s off to the giant, whatever that means. This place could do with some magic – but where is Fairy Godfather hiding? Get ready for the climb of the lifetime as Jack reaches new heights to bring joy back to West London!

Nutcracker

You cannot get a more christmassy show than this. The traditional christmas ballet is performed by the English National Ballet Company to a live orchestra playing Tchaicovsky’s beautiful score.

The story is set on Christmas Eve in Edwardian London. Clara and her mother are shopping at Drosselmeyer’s Sweets & Delights Emporium where she meets an enchanted Nutcracker doll. They take home liquorice all-sorts, nougat, marzipan and of course, sugarplums, to delight their party guests. As music and laughter fill the house, Clara has a magical sugar plum vision, sparking an adventure in which she bravely defends her home from the Rat King before discovering a dazzling ice realm and its Queen.

Watch this classic ballet at the London Coliseum until 11th January 2026.

The Snowman

This beautiful christmas ballet is brought to you by Sadler’s Wells. In this well known christmas story, a boys snowman comes to life! They embark on a magical adventure far across the world. The meet many interesting characters inclusing a host of woodland creatures, an assemblage of international Snowmen, and even a dancing Pineapple. This heart warming dance piece is accompanied by a live orchestra of beautiful songs including the classic song ‘Walking in the Air’.

The Snowman is currenlty playing at The Peacock Theatre until 4th January 2026.

The Nutcracker – A Festive Adventure

Not to be confused with the traditional ballet, this show is a reimagined take on the traditional christmas tale. When two squabbling siblings receive a mysterious nutcracker from their flamboyant Aunt on Christmas Eve, it sets them off on a fantastical journey into ‘The Mousey Realm’. This bold and brilliantly silly tale is brought to ingenious theatrical life with clever cardboard creations, comic characters and a chorus of cheeky musical mice. It’s crammed full of action, laugh-out-loud comedy, and a sleigh-load of feelgood festive bangers that’ll have you dancing in your seat – with just the right amount of cheese.

The Gruffalo’s Child

This beloved childrens story is coming to life at The Lyric Theatre this christmas season. One wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s Child ignores her father’s warnings about the Big Bad Mouse and tiptoes out into the deep dark wood. She follows snowy tracks and encounters mysterious creatures – but the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist… does he?

This show is recommend for children 3+ and is playing until 11th January 2026.

Maddie Moates Very Curious Christmas

This is another great Christmas Theatre Show for all you STEM lovers out there! Maddie Moates is back in the West End this festive season. The CBeebies star and Youtuber is on work experience in this winter wonderland.

With a busy Christmas season, the workshop is a whirlwind of mishaps! To top it all off, Mrs Claus is on her way for a surprise inspection, and she expects nothing less than perfection!

With the clock ticking, Maddie and her young audience must use science, curiosity, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic to help Tinker and Goggles fix the workshop in time for Mrs Claus’ big visit.

This festive fun show is playing at The Garrick Theatre until 4th January 2026.

Christmas Carol Gone Wrong

Christmas Carol Gone Wrong is the latest show from Mischief Theatre. Mischief are the team who brought us The Play That Goes Wrong. This show follows the same drama company featured in their inaugral prodcution. This hapless team of amateur dramatics attempt a production of this Christmas classic this festive season. Enjoy a festive slice of pure escapism at the worst production in Christmas past, present and yet to come!

The show is playing at The Apollo Theatre until 25th January 2026.
