To Kill a Mockingbird is returning to The West End. The Wyndham’s Theatre will house the show following it’s ongoing tour. The play is showing from 25th June 2026 until 12th September 2026.
The play is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Novel of the same name by Harper Lee from 1960. This adaptation is by Aaron Sorkin. It debuted on Broadway where it was nominated for 9 Tony Awards and went on to win 1. The play then headed to the West End at The Gielgud Theatre back in 2022. To Kill a Mockingbird is currently on tour and is playing in Dublin at the moment.
This production is directed by Bartlett Sher who most recently directed Kiss Me Kate at The Barbican. The touring production is led by Richard Coyle. Coyle is confirmed to led the cast as Atticus Finch in the West End stint. Further casting for the production in to be confirmed.
The creative team for To Kill a Mockingbird is completed by Louisa Muller (associate director), Miriam Buether (set designer), Ed Pierce (design supervisor), Ann Roth (costume designer), Jennifer Tipton (lighting designer), Scott Lehrer (sound designer), Adam Guettel (original score), Kimberley Grigsby (musical supervisor), Serena Hill (casting director), Campbell Young Associates (hair and wigs designer), Laurence Belcher (resident director), and Tavia Jefferson (cultural coordinator).
The Wyndham’s Theatre is currently showing All My Sons until 7th March. Following that, Inter Alia starring Rosamund Pike plays from 19th March until 20th June.
To Kill a Mockingbird opens at the Wyndham’s Theatre from 25th June and is playing until 12th September. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
