Agatha Christie’s iconic murder mystery play The Mousetrap is the world’s longest running play. The classic thriller is based on the book by one of the best-selling novelists of all time has been playing in London for over 70 years, still captivating audiences’ night after night.

The long-running play welcomes a new cast later this year with the new suspects starting shows from 20th November.

The cast is set to include Rachel Summers (Bleak Expectations) as Mollie Ralston, Christopher Bonwell (The Entertainer) as Giles Ralston, Joshua Glenister (Witness For The Prosecution) as Christopher Wren, Gay Soper (Godspell) as Mrs Boyle, Miles Richardson (King Charles III) as Major Metcalf, Jessica Temple (Patriots) as Miss Casewell, Sebastien Torkia (Matilda The Musical) as Mr Paravicini, and George Hannigan (The Comedy About a Bank Robbery) as Detective Sgt Trotter, alongside Clive Marlowe, Sarah Parkins, Ben Riddle, Kieran Seabrook France, Alexander Scrivens, and Cathryn Sherman.

The story follows a group of 7 strangers who find themselves snowed in at a country manor in the middle of nowhere. Whilst trapped they hear news of a suspicious murder back in London and then when a police sergeant turns up at the door, they realise that the killer is in their midst. The question is… Whodunnit?

A thrilling tale of mystery and intrigue, The Mousetrap is sure to keep you on the edge of your seats from start to finish. 

The Mousetrap is also currently keeping audiences in suspense across the country for its 70th anniversary tour.

Cast Announced for Standing at the Sky’s Edge

Co-produced by the National Theatre and Sheffield Theatres, Standing at the Sky’s Edge was originally staged at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in 2022 before transferring to the National’s Olivier Stage.

The new musical has been described as a ‘love letter to Sheffield’ and follows three generations over the course of six decades. Featuring a book by Chris Bus and songs written by Richard Hawley, the show received the Olivier Award for Best New Musical earlier in the year.

Standing at the Sky’s Edge is set to transfer to the West End’s Gillian Lynne Theatre in February 2024.

Standing at the Sky’s Edge tickets are available now and initial casting for the West End run has just been revealed.

Returning to the show to reprise their roles are Samuel Jordan as Jimmy, Baker Mukasa as George, Alastair Natkiel as Marcus and Rachael Wooding as Rose. Joining the cast will be Elizabeth Ayodele as Joy, Joel Harper-Jackson as Harry, Sharlene Hector as Grace, Mel Lowe as Connie, Laura Pitt-Pulford as Poppy and Lauryn Redding as Nikki. Further casting is yet to be announced.

Standing at the Sky’s Edge is opening at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 8th February 2024 following Crazy For You which is currently playing at the theatre.
