The New London cast for The Play That Goes Wrong begin performances tonight! This new cast see’s the production through its 13th anniversary. Usually, the number 13 spells bad luck. However, the cast attempts for a successful show has failed for the past 12 year so maybe this will be their lucky year!

The Play That Goes Wrong is the inaugural show for Mischief Theatre. It has since spiralled into a hit and this play is now the longest running comedy play in West End Theatre History! They also have a new musical currently running in Colchester called Thespians. We are awaiting the return of the award-winning The Comedy About Spies which reopens in August at The Adelphi Theatre. Later, the West End will see the return of A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong at The Wyndham’s Theatre.
This hit comedy follows the antics of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, who are trying their very best to stage a production of a 1920s murder mystery. As the show’s title might suggest, this is not as easy as it sounds with everything that can go wrong doing just that. Despite the setbacks, the actors of CPDS struggle bravely to reach the final curtain.
The new London cast for The Play That Goes Wrong includes Ruby Ablett as Annie and Matthew Spencer as Chris. Also, Raphael Bushay plays Robert with Luke Wilson as Jonathan, and Lucinda Turner as Sandra. Finally, Alex Bird plays Dennis, Joshua Lendon is Max and Kieron Michael plays Trevor.
Understudies for this cast change are Paige Round, Harry Al-Adwani, Tom Quinn, Will Bishop and Phoenix Edwards. Of course, Winston the dog still plays Winston the dog.
