After winning a record-breaking SEVEN Olivier Awards including Best Musical Revival, Cabaret<\/strong> tickets are proving to be the hottest tickets in London<\/a>. The question is why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where did it all begin?
<\/strong>In May 2021 it was announced that the iconic musical Cabaret<\/strong> was getting a West End revival and it was set to star Eddie Redmayne as Emcee and Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles. The production entitled Cabaret<\/strong> at the Kit Kat Club began previews at the West End\u2019s Playhouse Theatre in November 2021. The theatre was completely refurbished to include an in-the-round stage, reduced to a 550-seat capacity with tables that audience members can dine at as well as watch the show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production went on to win 7 awards at the 2022 Olivier Awards, setting a record for being the most award-winning revival in Olivier history. It was also the first production ever to win awards in all 4 eligible acting categories. Winning Best Actor, Best Actress, Best supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress in a musical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Cabaret about?<\/strong>
Welcome to the Kit Kat Club.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabaret <\/strong>is one of the most successful musicals of all time. The show is set in 1930 Berlin during the twilight of the Jazz Age and the Nazis rise to power. The musical\u2019s main focus is on the hedonistic nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Club. In a time where the world is changing forever there is a world where everyone can be free. There we see the relationship between American writer Clifford Bradshaw and English cabaret performer Sally Bowles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What music is in the show?
<\/strong>The musical features an iconic musical score including songs such as Wilkommen, Mein Herr, May This Time, Money and of course the title number\u2026 Cabaret!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music is by John Kander with lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Joe Masteroff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teddy Kempner as Herr Schultz, Wilf Scolding as Ernst Ludwig and Nathan Ives-Moiha as Clifford Bradshaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
