Despite its short stint the show has stood the test of time with many of the iconic lines from the show still quoted today.&nbsp;<strong>Fawlty Towers<\/strong>&nbsp;was known for its brilliantly clever writing, sharp wit and John Cleese\u2019s unmatched comic timing. John Cleese\u2019s character of Basil Fawlty has become an iconic figure in British pop culture with his sarcastic comments, short temper and inability to run his own hotel. The beloved TV show is still just as adored by fans because of its memorable characters and unique humour so a stage adaptation is just what the nation needs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"Fawlty-Towers-\"><strong>Fawlty Towers<\/strong>&nbsp;the play has been adapted for the stage by Cleese himself and will be directed by Caroline Jay Ranger who previously directed Only Fools and Horses: The Musical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2-hour long play incorporates three episodes from the original TV series &#8211; The Hotel Inspector, The Germans and Communication Problems into one coherent story-line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The full casting for the show has already been announced. Leading the cast is&nbsp;Adam Jackson-Smith as Basil, Anna-Jane Casey as Sybil, Hemi Yeroham as Manuel and Victoria Fox as Polly, alongside Paul Nicholas (as The Major), Rachel Izen (as Mrs Richards), Steven Meo as Mr Hutchinson\/German guest, Kate Russell-Smith as Miss Tibbs, Nicola Sanderson as Miss Gatsby, Greg Haiste as Mr Thurston\/German guest, Danny Bayne as Mr Walt\/Dr Finn, Neil Stuart as Taxi Driver\/Mr Firkins\/Mr Kerr\/Mr Sharp, and Emma Fenney as German guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completing the company are Mia Austen, John Hasler, Dale Superville, Ben Jacobson and Suzy Bloom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fawlty Towers<\/strong>\u00a0will open at the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/theatre\/apollo-theatre\"> Apollo Theatre<\/a> on 4th May 2024, tickets will go on sale on 7th February so keep an eye out.
