The Musical is based on the Blockbuster Film Film from 2010. The film featured Pop Princess Christina Aguilera who is also a producer on this musical adaptation. The film featured Stanely Tucci <em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/musical\/the-devil-wears-prada-the-musical\">The Devil Wears Prada<\/a>)<\/em> and Cher <em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/musical\/mamma-mia\">Mamma Mia<\/a>: Here We Go Again)<\/em>. Burlesque The Musical will open at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/theatre\/savoy-theatre\">Savoy Theatre<\/a> on 10th July, the venue is currently the home of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/musical\/mean-girls\">Mean Girls<\/a>. The transfer follows a record-breaking run with sold-out shows in Manchester and Glasgow last year. The cast is yet to be announced for this production. The previous shows featured Jess Folley <em>(X Factor)<\/em> and singer and choreographer Todrick Hall <em>(Ru Paul&#8217;s Drag Race)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burlesque The Musical follows Ali who heads to the bright lights of New York in search of her mother. She finds herself drawn into a dazzling underground world. The beat of the music and the heat of the dance moves will change her life forever. Among this unlikely family of misfits and dreamers, Ali will find her voice, talent, and find where she truly belongs. The show will feature songs from the movie such as S<em>omething&#8217;s Got A Hold On Me<\/em> and <em>Show Me How You Burlesque.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked about the show transferring to the West End, producer Aguilera said, <em>&#8220;I\u2019m proud that Burlesque the Musical is coming to London\u2019s West End! Our journey of making this film to bringing this show to the stage has been so special and exciting.
