With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart, the story proves how love really does\u2026 change everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining Michael Ball and John Bogyo will be Laura Pitt-Pulford as Rose, Danielle De Niese as Giulietta and Anna Unwin as Jenny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ASPECTS OF LOVE<\/strong> will open at <strong>The Lyric Theatre<\/strong> on the 12<sup>th<\/sup> May 2023. On Saturday <strong>&amp;JULIET<\/strong> played its final performance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/theatre\/shaftesbury-theatre-london\">The Shaftesbury Theatre<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the writers of Schitt\u2019s Creek, <strong>&amp;JULIET is a pop musical<\/strong> celebrating the legendary songwriter Max Martin filled with classic hits we all know and love. The incredible soundtrack includes hits from icons like <strong>Britney Spears, Katy Perry, The Backstreet Boys and Demi Lovato<\/strong>. This clever and witty retelling of Shakespeare\u2019s most well-known play may have taken its final bow on the West End but don\u2019t fear this isn\u2019t the end. The show has announced plans to tour the UK from 2024 and has recently opened on Broadway. Further details for the tour including dates, venues and casting are yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A STRANGE LOOP IS COMING TO LONDON<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"Strange-loop-play\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/lsbo.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Strange-Loop-1.jpeg\" alt=\"A strange loop ticket\" class=\"wp-image-470\" title=\"Strange loop\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The smash-hit Broadway production of A STRANGE LOOP is set to transfer from New York to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\">The West End<\/a> this summer. The show will open at The Barbican Theatre on the 17<sup>th<\/sup> June for a strictly limited 12-week season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The musical written by Michael R. Jackson was nominated for 11 Tony Awards and won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It was first produced off-Broadway in 2019 and then premiered on Broadway at <strong>The Lyceum Theatre<\/strong> in April 2022, where it went on to win \u2018Best Musical\u2019 and \u2018Best Book of a Musical\u2019 at the 75<sup>th<\/sup> Tony Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show follows the story of Usher, a Black queer man writing a musical about a Black queer man writing a musical about a Black queer man\u2026 hence the strange loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A STRANGE LOOP<\/strong> is only the 10<sup>th<\/sup> musical ever to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama with the previous winner being Hamilton. This powerful and thought-provoking production is sure to wow the audiences of London just as much as it did in New York after winning every Best New Musical Award in New York.
