The production will open at the Dominion Theatre from Friday 15<sup>th<\/sup> March to Saturday 31<sup>st<\/sup> August 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"West-end-Weekly-Round-up-17th-April\">Beverley Knight will be reprising her role of Deloris Van Cartier following her sensational performance during the shows\u2019 run in London of Summer 2022. <strong>The Olivier Award-winning<\/strong> star will star in shows from the 15<sup>th<\/sup> March to the 8<sup>th<\/sup> June 2024. Number One best-selling artist Alexandra Burke will then take over the role from the 10<sup>th<\/sup> June having previously played a role in the 2016 tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The musical is based on the iconic movie and tells the story of the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music. A disco diva\u2019s life changes rapidly when she witnesses a murder and under protective custody is hidden in a convent, disguised as a nun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE TIME TRAVELLER\u2019S WIFE THE MUSICAL FURTHER CASTING ANNOUNCED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"Time-Travellers-Wife\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"627\" src=\"https:\/\/lsbo.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/TimeTravellers-2.jpg\" alt=\"Time Traveller's wife cast\" class=\"wp-image-507\" title=\"Time-Travellers-Wife\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Time Traveller\u2019s Wife: The Musical is based on the best-selling novel by Audrey Niffenegger and the New Line Cinema film by Bruce Joel Rubin and is set to open at <strong>The Apollo Theatre<\/strong> in October 2022. This run is following a sold-out season of the musical at Storyhouse in Chester in October 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"weekly-west-end-round-up\">The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/musical\">new British musical<\/a><\/strong> is brought to life with original songs from Joss Stone and Dave Stewart, the book is adapted by multi-award-winning playwright Lauren Gunderson and the production will be directed by Bill Buckhurst. The cast will consist of David Hunter as Henry, Joanna Woodward as Clare, Tim Mahendran as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe as Charisse and Ross Dawes as Henry\u2019s Dad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show follows the story of Henry and Clare who have a relationship like no other as they are flung apart by time but united by love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The musical opens on the 7<sup>th<\/sup> October 2023, book tickets now to see this brilliant new musical.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HER MAJESTY\u2019S THEATRE TO BE RENAMED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"His-Majesty's-theatre\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1244\" height=\"889\" src=\"https:\/\/lsbo.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Her_Majestys_Theatre_London-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-506\" title=\"His Majesty's theatre\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the coronation of King Charles III on May 6<sup>th<\/sup> the West End venue <strong>Her Majesty\u2019s Theatre<\/strong> will be changing its name to <strong>His Majesty\u2019s Theatre<\/strong>. The theatre which is currently the home to Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsbo.co.uk\/musical\/the-phantom-of-the-opera\">Phantom of the Opera<\/a><\/strong> is one of six West End theatres owned by Webber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Theatre opened back in 1706 as the Queen\u2019s Theatre and the name has always changed historically to match the monarch at the time. Previous productions at the theatre have included Paint Your Wagon, West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof. Phantom of the Opera opened at the theatre in 1986 and is the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> longest-running show on the <strong>West End after The Mousetrap <\/strong>and <strong>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hauntingly beautiful production includes classic songs such as \u2018All I Ask of You\u2019, \u2018Music of the Night\u2019 and of course the iconic title song.
