ABOUT THE THEATRE
The Piccadilly Theatre can be found at 16 Denham Street in the City of Westminster. It was built and opened during the height of the Art Deco period in 1928 and has around 1,232 seats. It became one of the first theatres to be converted into a cinema briefly, when Warner Brothers took it over and premièred one of the original ‘talkie"’ films to be made, ‘The Singing Fool’ starring Al Jolson. Sadly, during World War II, it sustained significant bomb damage and it took many years before it was re-opened in the 1950s. It then became a venue for cabaret and revue shows. Now it's a venue for some of the most popular new musicals to be found.
The full address for the Piccadilly Theatre is 16 Denman Street, London, Greater London, W1D 7DY.
