Full casting announced for Standing at the Sky’s Edge

Hailed as a ‘love letter to Sheffield’ Standing at the Sky’s Edge is a new musical that follows three generations over the course of six decades. With a book by Chris Bush and songs by Richard Hawley, the show won the Award for ‘Best New Musical’ at the Olivier Awards last year after its run at the National Theatre.

The complete cast for the London run has just been announced. As we already know joining the cast for the West End transfer will be Elizabeth Ayodele (Small Island) as Joy, Joel Harper-Jackson (Cock) as Harry, Sharlene Hector (A Strange Loop) as Grace, Mel Lowe (Orlando) as Connie, Laura Pitt-Pulford (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) as Poppy and Lauryn Redding (Bloody Elle) as Nikki.

Returning to the show and reprising their roles are Samuel Jordan (Masters of the Air) as Jimmy, Baker Mukasa (The Comedy of Errors) as George, Alastair Natkiel (Line of Duty) as Marcus, and Rachael Wooding (Pretty Woman: The Musical) as Rose.

Completing the company will be Jonathan Andre (The Lion King) as Max, Jonathon Bentley (From Here to Eternity) as Gary, Mya Fox-Scott (making her professional debut) as Jenny, Rachael Louise Miller (Les Misérables) as Cathy, Adam Price (Privates on Parade) as Charles, Nicola Sloane (Backstairs Billy) as Vivienne, Lillie-Pearl Wildman (Sunset Boulevard) as Justine and David McKechnie (Flowers for Mrs Harris) as Joe/Workman.

Also joining the cast are Monique Ashe-Palmer, Adam Colbeck-Dunn, Viquichele Cross, Jamie Doncaster, Caroline Fitzgerald, Jerome Lincoln, Sean McLevy and Karen Wilkinson.

Mrs Doubtfire extends to 2025

Based on the iconic film the Mrs Doubtfire musical has taken the West End by storm. It has been announced that the show has been extended in London until February 2025.

With original music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell (Something Rotten!), this musical comedy is not to be missed.

Starring two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick and two-time Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker, Plaza Suite is coming to London this month.

After a record-breaking run on Broadway and becoming the third highest grossing play revival in Broadway history, Plaza Suite transfers to the West End. Neil Simon’s razor-sharp comedy is sure to be just as successful over here in the UK.

Joining the two leads will be Rohit Gokani as The Waiter, Charlie Oscar as Jean McCormack / Mimsey Hubley and Eric Sirakian as Bellhop / Boden Eisler. Take a look at these new shots from the rehearsal room of Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical. The London premiere of the show is at the Other Palace Theatre in Victoria and opens on 11th January.

Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical is based on the 1999 cult movie by Roger Kumble, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe and Selmar Blair, the show is created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin and Kumble.

The musical features a musical score of some of the 90s greatest hits. Featuring songs such as Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn, The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’, R.E.M’s ‘Losing My Religion’, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Genie in a Bottle’ and TLC’s ‘No Scrubs plus many more!

Cruel Intentions is set to star Daniel Bravo as Sebastian Valmont, Abbie Budden as Annette Hargrove, Rose Galbraith as Cecile Caldwell/Marci Greenbaum and Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky as Kathryn Merteuil.
