Hamilton has revealed new West End casting for the current production, now playing at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

The title role of Alexander Hamilton will be taken on by Alex Sawyer (Girl from the North Country), having previously been the alternate. He will play opposite Jay Perry (Back To The Future, Motown the Musical,) as Aaron Burr, who returns to the show.

Joining them will be Nathania Ong (Les Misérables) as Eliza Hamilton, Thomas Vernal (Romeo
& Juliet) as George Washington, Jordan Castle (Guys & Dolls) as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Jordan Benjamin (The Little Big Things) as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton. At certain performances, the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Adam J. Bernard (The Drifter’s Girl, Dreamgirls).

Joining the ensemble is Richard Appiah-Sarpong, Turrell Barrett-Wallace, Roxanne Couch, Nicola Espallardo, Remi Ferdinand, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Jairus McClanahan, Jamai Robinson, and Paulo Teixeira.

Staying in their roles in the cast will be Jordan Frazier as Angelica Schuyler, Simbi Akande as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Lemuel Knights as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Joel Montague as King George III.

Continuing in the company are Gabriela Acosta, Elizabeth Armstrong, Alishia-Marie Blake, Manaia Glassey-Ohlson, Amie Hibbert, Sam Holden, Barney Hudson, Nicolais-Andre Kerry, Christian Knight, Ella Kora, Aaron Lee Lambert, Stacey McGuire, Kerri Norville, Samuel Sarpong Broni, and Hassun Sharif will continue in the company.

With a book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

Hamilton is currently booking until 29 March 2025 with the new cast set to start on 17 Jun 2024. The show is also currently touring the UK and Ireland.
