The New My Neighbour Totoro cast has been announced. This cast change marks one year since the shows opening at The Gillian Lynne Theatre.

Joining the company and making her West End principal debut is Helen Chong. She is taking on the role of older sister Satsuki. Chong is joining Victoria Chen as Mei, Dai Tabuchi as Tatsuo, Jacqueline Tate as Granny and Ai Ninomiya as the Singer. They are all continuing their current roles within the My Neighbour Totoro cast.

Other new members are joining the Kazego Puppetry Ensemble. This includes Karen Barredo, Melisa Camba, Jeffrey Chekai, Chui Yen, Eero Chen Liu, Natsumi Kuroda, Yui Minari, Michelle Miners, Gun Suen, Si Rawlinson, Sango Tajima and Bai Zhijin.
The current cast members remaining in the ensemble are Rachel Clare Chan, Phyllis Ho, Victor Itang, Gabriel Janoras, Kumiko Mendl, Steven Nguyen, Richard P Peralta and Jamie Zubairi. Ronnie Lee, Wenhsin Lee, Amber Lin and Sera Maehara are also remaining in the company as swings.
My Neighbour Totoro is based on the beloved Studio Ghibli animation of the same name. It follows sister Satsuki and Mei who move to the countryside when their mother is taken ill. There, they meet magical spirits, sprites and creatures including Totoro, the ancient protector of the forest.
The play opened at The Gillian Lynne Theatre back in March 2025 following two runs at the Barbican Centre. The show has received six Olivier Awards and five WhatsOnStage Awards. We have great prices for this production which is now booking until 30th August 2026.
