My Neighbour Totoro Closing date set

Performances at The Gillian Lynne Theatre are now booking until 10th January 2027. Producers also confirmed that this will be the production’s final extension in London.

The beautiful stage adaptation of the beloved Studio Ghibli Animated film opened back in March 2025. This was a west end transfer from its opening at the Barbican. The run at the Barbican was so popular in fact that it broke box office records ahead of its run which went on to be sold out!

My Neighbour Totoro recently announced their cast change which marks a year of performances at The Gillian Lynne. The current cast includes Victoria Chen as Mei, Helen Chong as Satsuki, Dai Tabuchi as Tatsuo, Jacqueline Tate as Granny and Ai Ninomiya as Kaze No Koe/Singer. You can read more about the cast changes by clicking here.

This heart warming play follows sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, sprites and magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named ‘Totoro’ and his friend the ‘Catbus’…

The ‘blockbuster awe-inspiring puppets’ (Time Out) is from Puppetry Director & Designer Basil Twist and Puppetry Associate Mervyn Millar (War Horse). My Neighbour Totoro is produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and Executive Producer Joe Hisaishi in collaboration with Improbable and Nippon TV.

My Neighbour Totoro is closing on 10th January 2027. Book the last tickets here and check our discount page for weekly special offers on this beautiful play.
