Cole Escola will star in Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre.

Cole Escola in Oh, Mary on Broadway

Escola actually wrote the award winning comedy and they also starred in it when it opened on Broadway. They begin performances from 20th July until 15th August 2026. Priority booking for these dates and general on-sale tickets will be released on Friday.

Currently, Catherine Tate is leading the role in Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy. The lead role is that of Mary Todd Lincoln who is married to the president. The one act comedy play is a historically dubious wartime comedy. The wild show revolves around bored alcoholic housewife Mary Todd Lincoln, who pines for the cabaret stage but is constantly undermined by her closeted, homosexual husband, who also just happens to be the President of the United States.

Cole Escola is also known for their work in comedy acting and a voice actor, appearing in shows like Big Mouth and even the Simpsons! They will be joining the current cast playing alongside Catherine Tate. This is including Scott Karim, who plays Mary’s Husband. The cast also currently features Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone, and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.

The production team for Oh, Mary! also announced today, they are extending until 2027! Finally, the casting for the role of Mary Todd Lincoln from Monday 17th August onwards is to be announced. We wonder who will be the next administration at the Trafalgar Theatre in this raucous comedy?
