The Broadway production of The Great Gatsby: A New Musical has just announced a West End transfer next year. The show will open at the London Coliseum from 11 April to 7 September 2025.
The musical is currently playing at the Broadway Theatre and the New York production stars Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde) as Jay Gatsby and Eva Noblezada (Les Miserables, Hadestown) as Daisy Buchanan.
The Great Gatsby is a new musical adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald 1925 novel and features a book by Kait Kerrigan. Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) will direct the musical. It features a musical score by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen and choreography by Dominque Kelly.
Fitzgerald’s timeless story of wealth and class combines with an original jazz and pop style score to create the new musical. The story follows the eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby. Gatsby throws grand and expensive parties to try and win over the married socialite Daisy Buchanan.
Chunsoo Shin, the lead producer of The Great Gatsby musical, said in a statement: “I am thrilled to bring this timeless, glamourous, and resplendent production to the UK’s West End, after such success in the US and on Broadway. The London Coliseum is a spectacular venue that complements the lavish aesthetic and vibrant energy of our show. With its grand architecture and historic charm, it offers the perfect setting to transport audiences back to the opulence of the 1920s.”
Step into the world of the roaring 20s with The Great Gatsby and experience the glitz and glamour for yourself.
The Great Gatsby: A New Musical will run at the London Coliseum from 11 April to 7 September 2025. The production is yet to reveal West End casting.
