New Theatre Images of the West End transfer of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry are here.

This musical has opened at The Theatre Royal Haymarket following a successful run in Chichester.

It is based on a novel of the same name by Rachel Joyce who adapted the musical herself. The musical has original music written by passenger.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is a story of an ordinary man. When he decides to send a letter to a long lost friend by hand, it turns into an unexpected cross-country journey. A journey by foot in fact, from South Devon to Berwick upon Tweed. Leaving his bewildered wife Maureen behind.

Because Harold is trying to make up for lost time, confront the ghosts in his past, and – perhaps – keep someone alive.

As word spreads of his unlikely pilgrimage, a whole company of lost souls join him on his quest. And the horizons for both Harold and Maureen open wider than they could ever have imagined.

In these new images, you can see Mark Addy and Jenna Russell who are reprising their roles at Chichester as Harold and Maureen. Noah Mullins joins them as The Balladeer.

Also cast are Craig Armstrong, Jenna Boyd, Daniel Crossley, Nell Martin, Nicole Nyarambi, Peter Polycarpou, Gleanne Purcell-Brown, Ashley Samuels, Maggie Service, Madeleine Worrall, Timo Tatzber. The Swings are Gemma Atkins, Olivia Foster -Browne, Ediz Mahmut and Edwin Ray.

The orchestra includes Chris Poon (musical director, keys), Lewis Dunmore (guitar), Hsiao-Ling Huang (cello), Clodagh Kennedy (violin), Catrin Meek (harp), Mike Nichols (bass guitar), Mike Parkin (drums and percussion).
