Today, the Avenue Q West End production announced they are extending the shows run! Currently playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, it will now run until 3rd January 2027. The current production is marking the shows 20th Anniversary.

Written by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with a book by Jeff Whitty, Avenue Q follows Princeton, a recent college graduate who moves into a rundown New York apartment block and learns life lessons from his eccentric neighbours. This wild comedy uses Jim Hensen puppets although don’t let that fool you. This show is certainly for an older audience.
The production received rave reviews following its press night and we are proud to say that here at Leicester Square Box Office we have great prices available for the show. Click here to check them out.
Regarding the extension, the producers said the following:
“We’re absolutely thrilled that the return of Avenue Q has once again struck a chord with audiences, as well as with a whole new generation of theatregoers, discovering the heart, humour and honesty of our fuzzy friends for the very first time.
“The response to the production at the Shaftesbury Theatre has been extraordinary, and we’re delighted to extend the show’s limited season. The continued success of Avenue Q is a testament to its timeless wit, unforgettable score and the way its themes still resonate so strongly today. It remains, now more than ever, a musical for our time.”
