The classic musical ANNIE GET YOUR GUN is being celebrated with a special ‘one night only’ concert at THE LONDON PALLADIUM. Irving Berlin’s masterpiece will star West End leading lady Rachel Tucker (Come From Away, Wicked, We Will Rock You) and TV and stage star Julian Ovenden (Downton Abbey, The Crown, Bridgerton).

Rachel’s last time on the West End was as in the award-winning musical Come From Away where she originated the role of Beverley Bass in London and received nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the 2019 Olivier Awards and the 2020 WhatsOnStage Awards. She is also known for her performance as Elphaba in WICKED.

Julian is a star of both stage and screen and has recently starred as Emile de Becque in the UK tour of SOUTH PACIFIC as well as the critically acclaimed TV dramas Downton Abbey, The Crown and Bridgerton. He also previously starred in a production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN at The Young Vic in 2009.

ANNIE GET YOUR GUN tells the story of star-shooter Annie Oakley (Played by Rachel) who when Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show comes to town falls in love with the star of the show Frank Butler (Played by Julian). It follows their journey as they compete for best shot and each other’s hearts. Featuring much-loved songs such as ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’, ‘Anything You Can Do’, ‘I Got Lost in His Arms’ and ‘I Got Sun in The Morning’.

The show first opened on Broadway in 1946 then on The West End in 1947 and subsequently was adapted for the big screen and the Oscar-winning film was released in 1950.

This is the first time that a concert version of the musical has ever been performed in the UK.
