Standing at the Sky’s Edge (Opens 8th February)
Co-produced by the National Theatre and Sheffield Theatres Standing at the Sky’s Edge first opened at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in 2019 and again in 2022 before transferring to the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre in London in 2023.
The production won the Olivier Awards for Best New Musical and the UK Theatre Award for Best Musical Production. Hailed as a love letter to Sheffield’, the musical follows the story of three generations over the course of six tumultuous decades, navigating universal themes of love, loss and survival.
With a soundtrack of songs written by legendary singer-songwriter Richard Hawley and a beautiful book by Chris Bush. A heartfelt exploration of the power of community and what we call home.
Directed by Sheffield Theatres’ Artistic Director Robert Hastie, Standing at the Sky’s Edge is transferring to the West End’s Gillian Lynne Theatre on 8th February 2024.

Frozen
‘For the first time in forever’ Disney’s Frozen has been adapted for the stage and is currently playing at the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Wicked
Based on the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz, Wicked is one of London’s most popular musicals. The untold story of the witches of Oz follows the unlikely friendship between Elphaba and Glinda. We see their journey to become best friends, their encounter with the ‘Wonderful Wizard O’z and what leads them to fulfill their destinies as ‘The Wicked Witch of the West’ and ‘Glinda the Good’.

Hadestown (Opens 10th February)
Hadestown first came to London in 2028 and had a hugely successful run at the National Theatre. The show was also a huge hit on Broadway, winning 8 Tony Awards including the award for Best New Musical. The Broadway production’s soundtrack even went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Featuring music and lyrics by Anais Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown is set to be an outstanding theatrical experience this winter. Hadestown is inspired by the Greek myth and takes audiences on a journey to the Underworld set alongside an enchanting musical score. A mixture of New Orleans jazz an American folk music bring this epic re-telling to life on stage.
The show follows the love stories Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. The cast is set to include Dónal Finn as Orpheus, Grace Hodgett Young as Eurydice, Zachary James as Hades, Melanie La Barrie as Hermes, and Gloria Onitiri as Persephone.
