Duke of York’s Theatre
Ibsen’s classic play An Enemy of the People opens in the West End next month starring Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Dr. Stockmann. The thought-provoking play explores the truth in a society driven by money and power when Dr Stockmann discovers the healing waters in his local baths.
Thomas Ostermeier’s contemporary reimagining brings the play into the 21st century and proves that the themes are still as relevant today as ever.
An Enemy of the People opens at the Duke of York’s Theatre for a strictly limited period and performances begin on 6th February.

Standing at the Sky’s Edge (Opens 8th February)
Gillian Lynne Theatre
After taking home the award for ‘Best New Musical’ at the Olivier Awards last year, Standing at the Sky’s Edge is transferring to the West End next month.
Co-produced by the National Theatre and Sheffield Theatres, Standing at the Sky’s Edge has been hailed as a ‘love letter to Sheffield’. The musical follows the story of three generations set over the course of six decades and navigating universal themes of love, loss and survival. With a soundtrack by singer-songwriter Richard Hawley and a beautiful book by Chris Bush, this new musical is not to be missed.
Standing at the Sky’s Edge opens at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on 8th February.
Hadestown (Opens 10th February)
Following its hugely successful run at the National Theatre in 2018, Hadestown went on to win 8 Tony Awards after becoming a huge hit on Broadway and the musical is returning to London in February.
Featuring music and lyrics by Anais Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown is set to be an outstanding theatrical experience for all to enjoy. Hadestown is inspired by the Greek myth and takes audiences on a journey to the Underworld set alongside an enchanting musical score. A mixture of New Orleans jazz an American folk music brings this epic re-telling to life on stage.
Don’t miss your chance to see this genre-defying musical and book Hadestown tickets now, opening on 10th February at the Lyric Theatre.
