The 79th Tony Awards were last night and if you’ve missed it by being on the wrong side of the Atlantic I don’t blame you! Here’s a recap of all the highlights. And awards that were given out last night and where you might be able to catch the performances. The Tony’s are the most prestigious awards celebrating Broadway brilliance and we look forward to them every year.
The awards took place on the June 7, 2026 and was hosted by pop singer P!nk. The show opened on a performance of Lady Marmalade where the lyrics were changed. To highlight all the incredible performers and shows nominated this year. She was joined by a host of the nominees and Broadway stars like Lea Michelle and Megan Thee Stallion etc. There was also an exciting tease for a certain marmalade loving bear to be making his Broadway debut next season.
