People, Places and Things Full Cast Announced

The award winning production of Duncan Macmillan’s People, Places and Things returns to the West End this May. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, People, Places and Things follows the story of Emma, an actor battling with addiction. Emma ends up in rehab after a breakdown halfway through a performance of Chekhov’s The Seagull. When intoxication feels like the only way to survive in the modern world, how can she ever sober up?People, Places and Things tickets are on sale now.

People, Places and Things first opened at the National Theatre in 2015 and the production then transferred to the Wyndham’s Theatre in 2016. Denise Gough is set to reprise her Olivier Award-winning role of Emma. Gough won the award for Best Actress at the 2016 Olivier Awards for herperformance.

Joining Gough in the play is Sinéad Cusack (V for Vendetta, Rock ‘n’ Roll) as Doctor/Therapist/Mum, Malachi Kirby (Small Axe, Anansi Boys) as Mark, Danny Kirrane (The Sandman, The Serpent Queen) as Foster, and Kevin McMonagle (Scoop, Best of Enemies) as Dad/Paul.

The cast is completed by Holly Atkins (This Country, Sons of the Prophet) as Charlotte, Paksie Vernon (Shetland, Angels in America: Part One) as Jodi, Ryan Hutton (A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Only Fools and Horses) as Shaun, Ayọ̀ Owóyẹmi-Peters, who makes her West End debut as Laura, and Dillon Scott-Lewis (Piglets, &Juliet) as T. Russell Anthony (Call the Midwife, Trouble in Butetown) and Louise Templeton (Jayson Bend: Queen and Country, Sherlock Holmes: The Final Curtain) complete the company.

People, Places and Things is directed by Jeremy Herrin (Long Day’s Journey Into Night, A Mirror, Best of Enemies) and designed by Tony Award-winner Bunny Christie. The rest of the creative team includes costume designer Christina Cunningham, lighting designer James Farncombe, music by Matthew Herbert, sound designer Tom Gibbons, video designer Andrzej Goulding, and movement director Polly Bennett.
