Born With Teeth
Wyndham’s Theatre

In a dangerous game of cat and mouse, this ‘sizzling new play’ by Liz Duffy Adams imagines Kit Marlowe and Will Shakespeare forced into a creative collaboration.

Across three secret meetings in the backroom of a pub, with the table as their stage and battlefield, they sharpen their pens – and let their genius fly.

Starring Ncuti Gatwa as Marlowe with Edward Bluemel as Shakespeare, this raunchy new play is full of tension and talent!

Book your tickets now for Born With Teeth before it closes at The Wyndham’s Theatre on 1st November.

Stereophonic
Duke of York’s Theatre

Stereophonic is the Tony Award record breaker which transferred from Broadway earlier this year. It mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. Here, an up-and-coming rock band recording a new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom. The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup — or their breakthrough.

The 3 hour long play with music written by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler closes on 22nd November at The Duke of York’s Theatre.

West End Shows Opening the Autumn

  • The Weir – 11th September
  • Clarkston – 17th September
  • Punch – 22nd September
  • Elf the Musical- 28th October
  • All My Sons – 13th November

The West End shows opening this Autumn are mainly plays. The only musical opening is a christmas cracker so will get you in the festive spirit early!

The Weir
The Harold Pinter

Brendan Gleeson is starring in what promises to be a definitive production of the celebrated modern classic. The story is set on a stormy night where four local men gather in an isolated pub in rural Ireland. Their usual banter and everyday lives are disrupted by the arrival of a woman called Valerie. The stories they weave to impress her are gripping, haunting and deeply unsettling. Little do they know that she has a profoundly personal story of her own, the sharing of which will leave them all shaken.

The Weir is a testament to the need for human connection, the possibility of hope, and the enduring power of storytelling.

Book your tickets for the autumnal West End production of The Weir. It is playing at The Harold Pinter Theatre from 11th September until 6th December

Clarkston
Trafalgar Theatre

Starring Joe Locke from Netflix’s Heartstopper. Clarkston is a modern frontier love story. It blazes a trail through friendship, acceptance, love and the hope of new discoveries.

On a journey West to rediscover himself, Jake unexpectedly meets Chris – a kindred soul hiding in a night shift at a Costco in a rural American town. As their bond deepens, so does their sense of adventure. Maybe they could finally give life new meaning by chasing something more – like the intrepid explorers Lewis and Clark before them.

Clarkston begins performances on 17th of September at The Trafalgar Theatre and is playing for a strictly limited run until 22n November.

Punch
Apollo Theatre

Following sold-out runs at the Nottingham Playhouse and Young Vic, Punch, transfers to the West End for a strictly limited 10-week season from 22nd September.

From the Olivier Award-winning writer James Graham, Punch brings Jacob Dunne’s extraordinary true story to the stage in a gripping, high-energy and deeply moving production.

Jacob Dunne, a teenager from Nottingham, spends his Saturday nights seeking thrills with his friends. One fateful evening, an impulsive punch leads to fatal consequences. After serving prison time, Jacob finds himself lost and directionless. Searching for answers, Joan and David – the parents of his victim James – ask to meet, sparking a profound transformation in Jacob’s life.

Book tickets for Punch which is running from 22nd September until 29th November at The Apollo Theatre now.

Elf The Musical
Aldwych Theatre

Elf the smash hit musical returns to the West End for a strictly limited, 10-week season this winter at the Aldwych Theatre, running from 28 October 2025 to 3 January 2026. In fact, recently the production announced the cast for this seasonal spectacle. You can read all about it here.

Based on the beloved film, Elf is the funny and charming tale of Buddy, who mistakenly crawled into Santa’s bag as a baby and was raised as an elf!

Way too tall and not so great at his job, Buddy is the North Pole’s biggest misfit… and knows he’ll never belong. When Santa tells him the truth, Buddy heads to New York to find his birth father (who turns out to be firmly on the naughty list).

Don’t be a cotton headed ninny muggins. Book your tickets here for Elf the Musical which opens on 28th October at The Aldwych Theatre.

All My Sons
Wyndhams Theatre

All My Sons is Arthur Millers first and most abiding hit play.

Bryan Cranston play Joe, a respected, self-made businessman who prides himself on providing for his wife and their two sons. While wartime delivers profits for the family, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action.

Peacetime brings little peace of mind as Joe’s true involvement in the activity begins to surface, and he is suddenly confronted by the consequences of his actions.

Arthur Miller skewers the dishonest promise of the American Dream in this disturbingly prescient play.

Book your tickets now for what promises to be a great new play at The Wyndham’s Theatre. All My Sons opens on 13th November.

That’s all for the West End Shows Autumn update! We hope you find something in here that excites you and keeps you entertained as the night begin to draw in.
